Welcome! I’m Jess and this is my home project blog. I’m not myself if I don’t have a DIY project (or four) going on. From renovating our nasty carpeted staircase to building a playhouse for my sons to making over our pantry, this is where I keep a visual journal of my sometimes crazy undertakings.
My dad was a builder and showed me anything is possible with the right tools, some creativity, and a little patience. This is why I have occasionally taken on projects that, quite frankly, I have no business doing…like reflooring our entire first floor when my twins were a year old. But they have all turned out pretty darn well which, over time, has given me the confidence to take on just about anything. It has also given my husband the confidence to know I’m not going to destroy our home.
Despite the seemingly endless amount of DIY content online, I sometimes have a hard time finding relevant examples or images on the web when working on my projects so my goal is to share my experiences in the hopes of helping others with similar DIY aspirations. I will share my share my successes AND failures because, let’s face it, DIY rarely goes according to plan.
Other passions that often factor into my creative DIYing and may make an appearance here include graphic design, home organization, baking, and home decor.
I’m glad you’re here. Thanks for reading and good luck with your own projects!
